STAT Medical Transport and Kennedy EMS honored by Tour de Shore

STAT Medical Transport, Inc., and Kennedy EMS — subsidiaries of South Jersey-based Kennedy Health — were awarded a plaque for their support and participation in the Irish Pub’s annual Tour de Shore fundraising bike ride, this year set for July 19.

For the past several years, STAT and Kennedy EMS have provided support for the event with EMS staff and equipment on hand to offer any needed medical care to participants taking part in the 65-mile ride.

The event — expected to draw more than 2,000 riders this year — kicks off at the Irish Pub in Philadelphia and comes to a celebratory finish at the Irish Pub’s original location on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Last year, the Tour de Shore raised more than $700,000 for local children’s charities and the families of fallen police officers and other first responders.

In its 28-year history, the fun-filled bike ride has raised $4.2 million.

Kennedy Health is a Silver Sponsor of this year’s Tour de Shore.

At the June 4 plaque presentation at STAT’s headquarters in Voorhees were Tour de Shore Medical Director Tim Chalfont; STAT Medical Transport Executive Director Ronald Forsyth; Irish Pub co-owner and Tour de Shore founder Mark O’Connor; Kennedy Health President & CEO Joseph W. Devine and STAT Medical Transport Board Chairman Bruce Paparone.
