Abigail Mignucci, Miss New Jersey’s Teen, achieved an impressive milestone as she placed third runner-up at the Miss America’s Teen Competition on Saturday, January 4th, at The Walt Disney Theater in the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida.
Hailing from the small town of Magnolia in Camden County, Mignucci captivated audiences and judges with her poise, talent, and dedication to her platform, “Pain into Purpose: Promoting Mental Wellness.”
This initiative focuses on putting mental health at the forefront, inspiring others to prioritize their mental wellness.
As part of her platform, Mignucci hosted a speaking tour where she shared her personal story and provided resources to support mental health.
“This was an opportunity to not only heal myself but heal others,” Mignucci shared. Her message resonated throughout the competition.
A fun fact about Abigail is that this was her first year ever competing in Miss America’s Teen.
Despite being new to the pageant world, she credited her success to her strong support system, saying, “It felt like a win for New Jersey but also a win for me.”
Mignucci first gained recognition as Miss New Jersey’s Teen in June 2024, earning the opportunity to represent her state on the national stage.
Her placement as third runner-up marks a historic achievement for New Jersey. The last time a representative from the state reached the Top 5 at Miss America’s Teen was in 2010 when Brenna Weick secured the position of first runner-up.
Looking ahead, Abigail plans to finish out her reign as Miss New Jersey’s Teen and attend university in the fall, where she will major in psychology with aspirations to become a family therapist.
With her remarkable performance and dedication to her cause, Abigail Mignucci has brought pride to South Jersey and inspired many young individuals to pursue their dreams while advocating for meaningful change.
