Yuzhou Joseph Wang, age 60, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away on October 28, 2024. Beloved husband of Ellen Ying Wang, devoted father of Gordon Wang, and loving son of Xue Qing Zhang and the late Zhi Ting Wang. He was the cherished son-in-law of Xiu Di Xie, brother-in-law of Sharon Xu, and a dear uncle to Phillip and Jade Jiang.
Born in Shanghai, China, Joseph earned his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics from the prestigious Jiao Tong University, graduating with the highest honors. In 1985, he moved to the United States and completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. Joseph began his career as a bioengineer at a biotech firm, where he was awarded seven patents. In the mid-1990s, he transitioned to the information technology sector, working as a lead enterprise software implementation consultant for various companies. His career culminated in his role as Chief Technology Officer at a multi-platform startup.
Joseph enjoyed travel, gourmet cuisine, and cherished time with friends and family. A deeply spiritual man, he tried hard for over two decades in his pursuit of personal growth and found fulfillment in helping others. He was also dedicated to advocating for human rights in China and promoting traditional Chinese culture. Joseph will be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, and commitment to his family and his ideals.
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for the visitation and memorial service on Saturday, morning, November 9th from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ. Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00AM Saturday in the funeral home.
