Home• Gloucester County News ‘A positive day’ By Submitted Content September 12, 2024 Share FacebookTwitterEmailPrint Courtesy of Deptford Township School District Deptford detectives and officers spoke to students at the township middle and high schools about safety on Sept. 10.The assemblies came after social media threats of mass school shootings were made on the weekend of Sept. 7, resulting in the closing of schools in the district for one day on Sept. 9. “Education and partnership are key components to building safe, strong communities,” the district noted on Facebook. “We’re proud of our Spartans for their thoughtful participation and engagement.
