Breeze Airways

Burlington International Airport is expanding its reach with an exciting new destination for travelers.

Starting May 30, Breeze Airways will begin offering seasonal nonstop flights to Charleston, South Carolina, giving passengers a direct route to the heart of the Lowcountry.

These new flights are a part of the airline’s ongoing growth and will be available for as little as $49 one way.

The airline already operates flights from Burlington to several popular locations, including Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Raleigh-Durham, and Fort Myers.

With the new Charleston route, Vermont travelers will now have an easy way to explore the charm and warmth of South Carolina’s coastal city.

This summer, travelers from the Lowcountry will have even more options to explore the Northeast with new nonstop routes to Albany, New York; Rochester, New York; and Burlington, Vermont.

Breeze Airways is clearly making strides in enhancing its service offerings. Charleston will now be home to a total of 25 nonstop destinations, and more routes are coming soon.

As Breeze continues to grow, its approach has been marked by a strong focus on underserved markets.

Its model of flying to secondary airports has proven successful, offering passengers lower fares and more flexibility.

In fact, Breeze’s average fares are 44% lower compared to other carriers.

The expansion of Breeze Airways, including its new routes from Charleston and Burlington, comes on the heels of the airline’s impressive financial performance in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The company recently announced its first full quarter of operating profit, ending the year with $680 million in revenue—a significant 78% increase compared to the previous year.

This momentum is expected to continue as Breeze adds more destinations to its network and caters to travelers seeking affordable, direct flights to various parts of the country.
