Deptford will sponsor a shred event at the community center on Saturday so residents can dispose of sensitive documents such as pay stubs, financial statements and tax documents.
Hours will be 9 to 11 a.m. Residents are limited to five boxes of documents each, but only paper. Binders, plastic bags and metal cannot be shredded. Staples and paper clips are permitted.

DocuVault, the company doing the shredding, will destroy the materials on site, keeping information safe. All paper will be recycled.
