“It has not gotten any easier to announce eight additional deaths caused by COVID-19 in our community. This pandemic has taken an irreversible toll on families throughout Camden County, and we are continuing to keep them in our thoughts and prayers each day,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Yesterday, the United States set a record high for new cases in a single day. It is critical that we remember that this pandemic is not over just because we are experiencing a reprieve in New Jersey from what we faced in the spring. If we don’t wear masks and social distance, then we will find ourselves where other states are now finding themselves today. We must be committed to protecting one another as much as we are in protecting ourselves. This collective action is the only way we stop the spread of coronavirus and save lives.”
