The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is proud to announce the addition of Veronica Byrd as its new Assistant Prosecutor.
Byrd, who was officially sworn in on Monday, December 2, 2024, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the role.
Before joining Camden County, Byrd was an Assistant Prosecutor at the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office for over four years.
During her tenure there, she built a reputation for her meticulous casework and commitment to upholding justice.
Her legal career began with a Judicial Law Clerk position under the Honorable Thomas T. Booth of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Camden Vicinage, where she honed her skills in legal research and court procedures.
Byrd’s academic credentials are equally impressive. She earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, an institution known for producing outstanding legal professionals.
She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Spelman College.
In her new role, Byrd is expected to contribute significantly to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office with her deep knowledge of the law and unwavering commitment to serving the community.
Her appointment underscores the office’s dedication to bringing on talented legal professionals who share its mission of delivering justice and, simultaneously, ensuring public safety.
