A 67-year-old pedestrian walking along the westbound shoulder of Mullica Hill Road near the Route 55 overpass on Aug. 12 was struck and killed by a box truck just after midnight.
According to Harrison Township police, the operator of the truck, a 20-year-old male from Dover, Delaware, struck Joseph Logrande, of Tampa Bay, Florida. The victim was transported to Inspira Medical Center of Mullica Hill, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Other agencies on scene included state police, Gloucester County EMS, the Harrison fire district and police in Mantua and Woolwich townships.
