Earring enthusiasts have cause to celebrate.
Ear-piercing and jewelry brand Rowan, known for its signature on-site ear piercings by licensed nurses only, will debut at Cherry Hill Mall on Friday, Feb. 14, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
It marks the second fashion-forward jewelry concept to open at the mall in the last three weeks. Lovisa, with stores in 45 countries, opened at Cherry Hill Mall on Jan. 24.
A representative for mall owner PREIT, which owns Cherry Hill Mall, confirmed Rowan’s arrival as the brand expands its East Coast presence.
On its website, the mom-founded, women-led Rowan affirms its safety-first mantra: “All of our piercings are performed by licensed nurses only – as they should be. After all, piercing is a medical procedure.”
Rowan nurses never use a piercing gun – strictly needle piercings and piercings by a special hand-pressurized device that they fully control, according to the company.
A nurse walks a customer through the entire piercing process, from start to finish.
In addition, Rowan uses only hypoallergenic materials: “Meaning premium metals only, Our jewelry is made of 14K solid gold, gold vermeil, gold plating over sterling silver, and sterling silver,” states the company website. The brand caters to all ages.
“Rowan is redefining the ear piercing experience, with licensed nurses performing every piercing in a stylish, welcoming environment,” PREIT said in an email to The Sun Papers.
“Their curated selection of high-quality, hypoallergenic jewelry ensures both safety and style, making them a trusted destination for all ages.”
Rowan has been on a growth tear since its founding in 2018. Last year, it opened 30 stores, including one in Austin, Texas, and Chicago, Illinois, among other U.S. cities.
On Friday, it adds Cherry Hill, at South Jersey’s premiere mall. Rowan will occupy space on the first floor in the Macy’s wing, between the Apple and Tempur-Pedic stores.

Rowan is the latest brand among several that have joined Cherry Hill’s prestigious lineup over the past year.
During the last holiday season, Columbia Sportswear, JD Sports, Alo Yoga, Lacoste, Kendra Scott, Kooma, and Signature Workplace came on board, while Lovisa opened just over two weeks ago.
