Moorestown is now taking nominations for its citizen of the year award, a designation bestowed since 1954.
Nomination forms are now available and can be submitted via hard copy to the township’s Service Club Council, attention Doug Anderson, at the Community House, 16 East Main St. Form can also be submitted electronically to [email protected].
All nominations must be submitted to the council by Friday, Dec. 1. The group will announce its selection in January, and a celebration of the winner will be held at the Community House on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
Factors to be considered for nomination are:
- Nominee must be or have been a resident of Moorestown.
- Community service should be through an individual volunteer effort and/or participation in group activities, unrelated to the nominee’s employment.
- Contributions through public service, such as an elective or appointed position at the local county, state or federal levels.
- Multiple and varied volunteer efforts, including services that help draw the community and its residents closer together.
- Honors, awards and citations for community contributions.
