Between Tuesday, Aug. 24 and Friday, Aug. 27, the Camden County Department of Health has announced 432 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 52,593 and 1,245 total fatalities.
Tuesday saw 94 new cases, Wednesday and Thursday both saw 110 new cases and today, Camden County logs 118 new cases.
Of the 432 new cases in the past four days, 81 are among patients under 18. The average age of the newly infected ranged from 32 to 37 years old as of Friday.

“This surge is showing no signs of slowing down. We need more of our community to step up and get vaccinated,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The vaccines are safe, effective, and our only shot at putting this pandemic behind us. If you haven’t been vaccinated, don’t leave yourself at risk, get your shot right away.”

The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
