The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing one new death caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 15 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 10,916 in Camden County and 559 total fatalities.
The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family, and we continue to wish full recoveries to everyone fighting this insidious virus,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “As we reach a precarious point in this pandemic, we have to redouble our efforts to stop the spread of this virus. We cannot afford to see daily case totals return to where they were in the spring. To keep that from happening, please continue to wear masks, social distance, and work with Camden County’s contact tracing team when they call.”
The Department of Health is announcing 15 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,451 confirmed resident cases and 607 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 10,916 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 327 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 559 total fatalities countywide.

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
