County’s weekend count sees 80 new COVID-19 cases

The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 80 additional cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) which have been confirmed since June 20. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 7,557 in Camden County today and 430 total fatalities.

“Today marks another milestone in our state’s reopening and recovery as personal care businesses such as hair and nail salons are permitted to reopen,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We must continue to practice careful, thoughtful social distancing as we enter this next phase. This virus is still with us, and the ease of its spread is underscored by the surge in cases taking place in other states. As you resume visits to these and other businesses, stores, and venues, please wear a mask, practice good hand hygiene, and absolutely stay home if you are feeling sick. If we continue to follow these guidelines, we will save lives and minimize the impact of this virus on our community.”

The Department of Health is announcing 80 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,287 confirmed resident cases and 473 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 7,557 in our 56 long-term care facilities.
