The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) announced on Tuesday six (6) new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 19 additional cases of the disease.
This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 7,408 in Camden County and 416 total fatalities. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

“We are again saddened to announce the deaths of six additional Camden County residents today caused by COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“We can’t lose sight of this fight for even one day. Although our cases are down and much of our economy is reopening, this progress can be quickly undone if we do not continue to strictly adhere to the recommendations of our public health experts. Managing this crisis will be much more like running a marathon than a sprint, but we can get to the finish line if we work together to prevent the spread of this deadly disease.”
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,270 confirmed resident cases and 464 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 7,408 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 283 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 416 total fatalities countywide.
