Seven deaths, 52 new COVID-19 cases reported in Camden County

This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 6,853 in Camden County and 339 total fatalities

The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing seven new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 52 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 6,853 in Camden County and 339 total fatalities.

The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:

New Case 1: MALE, 80s, Winslow Township
New Case 2: FEMALE, 60s, Cherry Hill
New Case 3: MALE, 60s, Camden
New Case 4: FMALE, 90s, Pennsauken
New Case 5: FEMALE, 80s, Gloucester Township
New Case 6: MALE, 70s, Cherry Hill
New Case 7: MALE, 80s, Haddon Heights

“It is incredibly difficult to make these announcements day after day, with seven additional deaths today caused by COVID-19. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims and wishing everyone who has contracted the virus a fast and full recovery,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Our overall cases continue to grow at a much lower rate than we saw just a few weeks ago. The residents of Camden County have been incredible in their fight against coronavirus. If we continue to socially distance, wear a mask in public, and practice good hand hygiene, we will beat this virus and save lives in the process.”

The Department of Health is announcing 52 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,170 confirmed resident cases and 426 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 6,853 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 244 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 339 total fatalities countywide.
