The Camden County Department of Health announced three new deaths caused by COVID-19 in Camden County, as well as 41 additional confirmed cases of the disease.
The three individuals who died are a female in her 90s from Cherry Hill, a female in her 50s from Camden City and a male in his 60s from Winslow Township.
“It does not get easier announcing these figures each day. We are tremendously saddened to have heard that three more members of the Camden County community have lost their lives to this horrible virus, and we are sending our sincerest condolences to the families and friends of those who have passed,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “As more of our residents gain access to testing, the number of confirmed cases will continue to rise, however we know that these numbers would be much larger if not for the community’s embrace of social distancing and stay-at-home measures. We need everyone to continue to take this threat seriously, even as these long weeks at home begin to take their toll. If we all do our part, we will emerge from this stronger and more united than ever.”
The Department of Health also announced 41 additional positive cases of COVID-19 identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
The following information is currently available regarding new patients:
• Nine patients from Pennsauken: female, 70s; male, 30s; female, 40s; female, 10s; male, 60s; male, 70s; female, 50s; and two males in their 50s.
• Eight patients from Gloucester Township: female, 30s; male, 60s; male, 50s; male, 40s; male, 20s; male, 30s; and two females in their 50s.
• Seven patients from Cherry Hill: male, 50s; male, 70s; female, 50s; male, 60s; female, 70s; and two males in their 30s.
• Four patients from Camden: male, 30s; male, 50s; female, 40s; and female, 50s.
• Three patients from Winslow: female, 40s; male, 50s; and female, 30s.
• Two patients from Voorhees: female, 80s; and male, 30s.
• Two patients from Haddonfield: female, 60s; and female, 30s.
• One patient in each of the following towns: male, 30s, from Magnolia; female, 60s, from Pine Hill; female, 40s, from Woodlynne; male, 50s, from Stratford; female, 30s, from Haddon Heights; and male, 60s, from Audubon.
This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 242 in Camden County today and six total fatalities.
The county Health Department is currently working with the NJDOH to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
