Snowmen Spread Holiday Cheer in Medford, NJ

Snowmen Bring Holiday

Snowmen of all shapes and sizes have taken over the Lake Pine community in Medford, N.J., and they’re a joy to residents and visitors this holiday season.

As snowmen pop up along Taunton Boulevard, the festive displays spark smiles from people of all ages.

And it all started with a simple idea from Lake Pine resident Sue Grant.

Inspired by a national trend featuring neighborhoods decorated with inflatable Santas, Grant thought, “Why not bring snowmen to our street?”.

Soon, word spread through social media, and the community enthusiastically embraced the idea.

Then, neighbors quickly joined in, many turning to online stores like Amazon to gather their snowman decorations.

What began as a fun, small-scale activity quickly became a full-blown holiday attraction. As the snowmen began to appear, residents noticed more and more visitors stopping by to admire the displays.

One afternoon, a Medford Leas Retirement Community bus arrived to take a group on a holiday lights tour.

And when they heard about the snowmen, they couldn’t resist checking them out.

Local residents like Kim Guaracino have expressed their excitement about the growing popularity of the snowman displays.

Guaracino shared that even her 80-year-old friend had a blast seeing the snowmen, remarking how they brought out her inner child. “I love that,” she said, noting how the displays are bringing people together in unexpected ways.

Grant, who had envisioned this as a lighthearted, voluntary activity, expressed gratitude for the community’s participation.

She emphasized that no one should feel pressured to take part, but she’s thrilled that the effort has become so joyful for the neighborhood.

With the snowmen continuing to delight visitors, this unique holiday tradition in Medford is clearly a hit—and it’s bringing plenty of smiles along the way.
