Tuesday, Sept. 3
The Palmyra Police Department is holding its back-to-school bash from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 3 in front of borough hall, 20 W. Broad St., with the goal of giving everyone a backpack for the start of the school year. Backpacks with school supplies are available to current Palmyra students PreK to sixth grade. Stop by and hangout with the officers for the last party of the summer.
There will be live music from Big Country and the Finger Pick’n Good Band, games, ice cold treats, food, and drinks.
Saturday, Sept. 7
Palmyra and Riverton will hold its inaugural Purple and Teal Ribbon Walk. September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and the communities want to honor the survivors, those who lost their battle, and those who are still struggling. Support them by walking down “little” Broad Street from Main Street in Riverton to Chief Flournoy Park in Palmyra. The walk will be held from 11-11:45 a.m. and from noon to 2 p.m. there will be food trucks and speakers.
Saturday, Sept. 21
The borough’s fall townwide yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The borough will advertise the town-wide event and prepare treasure maps indicating the addresses of those residents who register by Tuesday, Sept. 17. Treasure maps will be available at all locations and Palmyra Borough Hall early on the morning of the yard sale. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 22.
Palmyra War Memorial Committee
The Palmyra War Memorial Committee meets four times a year and holds its annual Memorial Day observance. They also do cleanups at the memorial at least two times a year.

Seniors Lunch
The monthly seniors lunch event is held every third Tuesday at the Christ Episcopal Church Parish House, 4th and Howard St., Riverton. All are invited for the free lunch and can bring a friend. A chair lift is available. If you need a ride or know someone who does call SEN HAN Transportation at (877) 603-5111 to register. For more information visit christriverton.org. The lunch is free of charge, but donations are welcome.
Palmyra Harbour
There will be a trip to American Music Theatre for the Christmas show “Joy To The World” in Lancaster, Pa. on Dec. 12. Lunch will be at Miller’s. Bus will leave from Palmyra Harbour parking lot at 10 a.m. If interested, call (856) 786-0358.

Custom engraved Chief Payton Flournoy Park brick pavers still available. For $50 you can have one of the brick pavers at the entrance to the park engraved with your name, family or personal message. To reserve your personalized brick paver please print and complete this FORM and return it to Palmyra Borough Hall, 20 W. Broad St., along with a check made payable to the Borough of Palmyra in the amount of $50 per each brick paver requested. Forms are also available at Borough Hall. Engravings will be ordered once payment is received. Proceeds benefit the Borough’s Recreation Trust Fund, which is used for projects and staffing for recreational activities.
