‘Rev it Up’ to host free pictures with Santa.

Township gym entertains kids, those with special needs

Rev it Up gym owner Dee Ann Wilcox will again host photos with Santa, and this year’s guests will include Princess Elsa from Disney’s “Frozen.”

The township’s Rev it Up gym is now sponsoring this year’s pictures with Santa, who will spend a few moments with each child.

Parents are invited to bring their cameras and must register children in advance. Up to four children per family per time slot will be accepted. For additional children, parents can pick an additional slot. Thirty children for each hour time slot will be seen.

Parents and children are also welcome to tour the facility and play with other children there. Rev it Up has programs that include “Skillz” at its child development center.

Gym owner Dee Ann Wilcox said the Santa event is always memorable for children in the community.

“This is our second year doing a free picture with Santa event,” she said. “Last year, we had (roughly) 100 kids who came through. We have our photo shoot all decorated with a nice background, poinsettias, little trees and treats (that Santa) gives away.”

Wilcox is especially excited for the children this year because along with Santa, they will meet some of the characters from Disney’s “Frozen,” including snow princess Elsa.

“Each child gets about five to 10 minutes with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m,” she noted. “The kids love it and it is just a really good time, another way we can give back to the community.”

The sessions will include light refreshments. For more information and to sign up, visit the Rev it Up Facebook page and website. Later this month, the gym will hold an indoor snowball party.
