After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Camden County High School Golf Tournament will return today student athletes set to compete.
“This event has been sorely missed the past few years, so we’re thrilled that it’s coming back,” said Commissioner Ed McDonnell, liaison to the Camden County Department of Events and Community Outreach. “Each year, the Board hosts this tournament to honor high school athletes from Camden County who represent excellence both on the field and in the classroom. The event is a wonderful opportunity for players to come together to represent their schools and compete at the highest level”
Each year, the Board of Commissioners invites schools from throughout the county to send up to four players to represent their alma mater in the county-wide event.
Started in 1998, the tournament has grown to include 17 co-ed teams and four girl’s teams from a variety of Camden County schools.
