The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 233 new positive cases of COVID-19 which occurred on between Tuesday, Nov. 30 and Friday, Dec. 3, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 63,307 and 1,363 total fatalities.
Of the 709 new cases, 204 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected has ranged from 31 to 37 years old.

“This is the highest daily case count we’ve seen in months,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The daily case count here in Camden County is on the rise with 211 cases on Thursday, and now 233 on Friday.
“Even with the case count increasing, we can be relieved to know that we have vaccines and boosters to help protect us. Vaccinated people are much less likely to become seriously ill or die from COVID-19 than unvaccinated people so please, if you haven’t done so yet, get vaccinated. And now, health officials are recommending that all adults get a booster shot, regardless of prior health qualifiers so please make sure you get a booster. To date, 452,011 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 322,621 are fully vaccinated and 86,334 have received a third dose. The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
