On Friday, Sept. 10, the Camden County Board of Commissioners with its military, veterans and public safety partners are hosting a special anniversary event to honor and remember all the civilians, first responders, military and their families who were lost or affected by the attacks on 9/11/2001, and subsequent War on Terror.

The vigil will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Island, Cooper River Park 5300 North Park Drive, Pennsauken.

The evening will include featured speakers, a medal ceremony, a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action acknowledgement ceremony and more.

The Camden County Board of Commissioners also welcome residents to share their thoughts and memories of 9/11 on its website. These messages will be shared online for other residents to see.
