Beginning today, Monday, April 26, the Camden County Vaccination Center located at Camden County College in Blackwood will begin accepting walk-in patients without an appointment. The Center is currently administering the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines to eligible adults 18 years of age and older.
The Camden County Vaccination Center is operated by the county in partnership with Cooper University Health Care and Jefferson Health-New Jersey.
“Our team is always evaluating and reevaluating how best to offer these services to our community. With more than half of our adult population already vaccinated, our goal is to reduce and eliminate any hurdles our remaining residents face,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “By giving patients the opportunity to receive their vaccination without an appointment, we hope to provide additional flexibility and to simplify the process. If you have not gotten your vaccine yet, we strongly urge you to take advantage of these changes.”
The Camden County Vaccination Center is currently administering the Moderna and J&J Vaccines. The FDA has authorized the use of both drugs to prevent COVID-19 in adults 18 years of age and older. The county’s site cannot vaccinate persons younger than 18 years of age.
The vaccination center is currently open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those who still wish to schedule an appointment can do so by visiting CamdenCountyVaccine.com. Anyone who receives the Moderna vaccine will still be required to schedule a second shot appointment 28-days after they receive their first.
Camden residents can also continue to be vaccinated at the Kroc Center in Camden. The Kroc Center is open Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments can be made by visiting my.cooperhealth.org or by calling (856) 225-6141. Additional walk-up appointments may be available based on supply.The Kroc Center is currently administering the Moderna vaccine.
The Kroc Center is currently administering the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. Vaccine appointments for eligible individuals under 18-years-old can be made for the Pfizer vaccine.
Additionally, Cooper’s Ferry Partnership recently announced that it has partnered with Uber to provide free transportation to thousands of city residents who face challenges traveling to the vaccine sites. More information is available by calling (856) 283-3942.
