November pride students of the month announced at BOE meeting

One student from each grade is selected every month

The Burlington Township School District pride students of the month for November were announced at the Nov. 30 Board of Education meeting. The students recognized were pre-kindergartener Stephen Menna, kindergartener Chase Jobes, first grader Alexis Hauck, second grader Kaleb Soden, third grader Ryan Chester, fourth grader Sierra Lewis, fifth grader Mischa Stalsworth, sixth grader Calazh Bell, seventh grader Eshika Attri, eighth grader Caheil Powell, ninth grader Emily Pascual, tenth grader Sarah Henry, eleventh grader David Sotimehin and twelfth grader Mouctar Diallo.

The pride students of the month are nominated by teachers and chosen by each building each month from October until May. The chosen students represent their grade level for the entire month.

The students are recognized at the monthly Board of Education meeting. Afterwards, the students given flowers to give to their parents as a “thank you” for supporting them.

“It’s just a way of recognizing students and recognizing their hard work and everything that they do,” Director of Human Resources and Community Relations Liz Scott said.
