Evesham Facebook tips lead to arrest

The Evesham Police Department would like to thank the public for their help in solving a crime.

On May 11, the Evesham police asked for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who was captured on a store surveillance video. The man depicted in the still image was suspected of a vehicle burglary in the 100 Block of Fox Hill Drive. After receiving numerous tips from the public in response to a Facebook post, investigators were able to positively identify the suspect in the surveillance photo. On June 20, the suspect turned himself in to police and was charged in connection with the May 3 crime.

A 22-year-old man from Cherry Hill was charged with third-degree burglary to a motor vehicle, fourth-degree credit-card theft and third-degree fraudulent use of a credit card.

He was remanded to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, police said.
