The Camden County College Cougars have taken the NJCAA Division III by storm this season, and they finished their campaign undefeated in regional play.
The Cougars, currently sixth in the NJCAA DIII rankings and leading Region XIX, have stood out with a balanced attack and a rock-solid defense.
With a five-game win streak and no goals conceded during that run, the Cougars have scored a remarkable 56 goals this season and have a .982 shot percentage.
This dominance is largely due to their dynamic roster, which features most freshmen and only four returning players.
Sophomore forward Flavio Boccacci leads the team with six goals, closely followed by Mauro Alonso Bustamante, who has netted five goals, including a hat trick against Morris County College.
Dimitri Lekishvilli and Genta Iritono have also scored five goals each, adding depth to the attacking lineup.
Elias Hirt has emerged as the team’s top playmaker with six assists.
Defensively, the Cougars have relied on their trio of strong goalkeepers, with Lucas Hibos leading the charge with 13 saves.
Camden’s overall record is 16-1, including a perfect 13-0 in regional play.
Their season featured key victories against Middlesex, Finger Lakes Community College, and Nassau Community College, and they secured a third-place finish in the 2024 NJCAA DIII Men’s Soccer Championship.
With a season like this, the Cougars are setting the standard and showing everyone in Division III soccer that Camden County College means business.
