“We continue to join the community in placing the families who have lost a loved one during this pandemic in our thoughts and prayers,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“Today we learned that the fast-spreading UK variant of COVID-19 has been diagnosed in New Jersey for the first time. While this variant hasn’t been found in Camden County yet, we must prepare for the possibility that it will. Remember that even if this variant is no more deadly, an exponential growth in cases would lead to countless more deaths. We must continue to wear masks, social distance, and strictly adhere to other mitigation tactics to protect ourselves and those around us.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
