“Today, the governor announced one of the first major re-openings in our state by allowing county and state parks to reopen. While this is exciting news, it is critical that we do not mistake progress for mission accomplished. We must continue to social distance, stay home except for very limited occasions, and wear a mask or face cover in public. We are heading in the right direction and these steps will ensure that we continue on our current trajectory and do not slide backwards.”

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 844 confirmed cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 2,943 in 27 of our 56 long-term care facilities. At this current time 107 deaths have been reported from these facilities from our 127 total fatalities countywide.
