The Harrison Township Recreation Commission is sponsoring tennis and pickleball clinics next month at Ella Harris Park.
Tennis clinics
Four-week clinics for beginners, advanced beginners and intermediate players will be held every Wednesday from Sept. 4 to Sept. 25 (rain date: Oct. 2) at the park tennis courts. Participants should wear sneakers and bring rackets and a water bottle.

Beginner tennis drills and lessons
New players will learn the rules of the game and the five basic shots needed to play tennis from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Advanced beginner drills and lessons
Participants will advance basic skills, and teach new shots and court positioning. Players should have experience in playing doubles and keeping score. Time is 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
Intermediate drill and lessons
Improve play with up-tempo drills and experience in competitive doubles. For experienced players only. 9 to 10:15 a.m.
Pickleball clinics
Clinics are for all skill levels and experience. Players should wear sneakers, bring a water bottle and a pickleball paddle; there will be a limited number available.
Beginner pickleball clinics
New players will learn pickleball and basic shots. Morning and evening clinics will take place on Tuesdays, from Sept. 3 to 24 (rain date: Oct 1) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and Wednesdays, Sept. 4 to 25 (rain date: Oct. 2) from 4:50 to 5:50 p.m. Register at signupgenius.com.
Advanced beginner and intermediate clinics
The advanced beginner clinic teaches new shots and court positioning and enhances player skills with drills, game experience and stacking. Clinics are Tuesdays, from Sept. 3 to 24 (rain date: Oct. 1) from 4:50 to 5:50 p.m. (advanced beginner) and from 5:55 to 6:55 p.m. (intermediate). Sign up at signupgenius.com
Seniors clinic
For active adults 55 and older on Tuesdays, from Sept. 3 to 24 (rain date Oct. 1), 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
