The Deptford police department and Chief Joe Smith – along with township officials – sponsored an event on Nov. 2 to warn would-be criminals they are not welcome in the community.
Mayor Paul Medany, Public Safety Director Sean Dalton and local businesses were present for the event at the township building.
“We value our relationship with our retailers and business community,” a township statement said. “We will continue to work with our retail partners so that Deptford Township remains a safe place to live, work, play and shop.
