County logs 119 more COVID cases

Daily averages still well over 100 cases per day, even as vaccination efforts remain constant.

The Camden County Department of Health on Tuesday reported 119 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 46,399 in Camden County today and 1,155 total fatalities.

“There are vaccine appointments for this week at the Camden County Vaccine Center open right now. There have been very few opportunities to schedule an appointment and get vaccinated so quickly, so don’t miss this chance,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.

“While we continue to practice social distancing and mask wearing, our best weapons against this virus are the safe and effective vaccines already available to the adult population. We need everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible to limit the spread of this disease and to put this pandemic behind us.”

Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

To date, 359,233 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 217,421 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 157,973 people who are fully vaccinated.
