“Over the past seven days, the average number of new cases has jumped from roughly 140 to 187. We are now averaging more cases per day than we have since February 2,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The good news is that thanks to our vaccination efforts, our most vulnerable populations should be experiencing far more protection than before. However, this does not mean that the pandemic no longer poses a threat. We must continue to wear masks, social distance, and practice caution until vaccinations are more widespread and more of our community is protected from severe illness.”
