The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) reported on Friday 24 new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 171 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 35,989 in Camden County today and 938 total fatalities.

“My heart breaks thinking of the families that have been left less than whole because of this pandemic. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“Widespread vaccinations will ultimately be the most effective means of preventing additional loss of life, but we can help to minimize the devastation brought by this virus if we continue to do our part as individuals. Wear a mask, social distance, avoid indoor gatherings, and work with our contact tracing team when they call.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,213 confirmed resident cases and 1,218 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 35,989 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 437 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as five staff deaths, out of our 938 total fatalities countywide.
