The Mt. Laurel Garden Club has proudly awarded three $1,000 scholarships and the Mary Lou Eisenmann Scholarship of $1,000 to four Mt. Laurel students.
There were more than 20 exceptional students who applied this year and it was no easy task for the club to narrow it down to the final selections.
One scholarship winner is Grace Harsche, of Lenape High School, who plans on majoring in International Relations. The other is Jackie Zak, also from LHS, who plans to pursue a Biomedical Engineering degree.
A third winner is also a young lady from LHS who plans to major in Biology at Lafayette College. The recipient of the Eisenmann Scholarship is a young man from Holy Cross Preparatory School who is now attending Georgia Tech and plans to major in Civil Engineering.
The club says that it is very unfortunate that it could not hold the annual luncheon as usual to meet and honor these young people in person, but congratulates the winners for their outstanding efforts.
The gardening club also extends its gratitude to all club members who worked so very hard this past year to help raise these scholarship funds, as well as to the Eisenmann family for their continued support and the Scholarship Committee for its members’ diligent reviews of student applications.
