The Camden County Department of Health is announcing four (4) new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 150 additional confirmed cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 1,722 in Camden County today and 58 total fatalities.
The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:
Case 1: Female, 70s, Pennsauken Township
Case 2: Female, 90s, Voorhees Township
Case 3: Female, 80s, Voorhees Township
Case 4: Female, 90s, Cherry Hill Township
“It does not get any easier to announce that we have lost four more beloved members of the Camden County community to this awful disease. This has been an incredibly difficult week, and our thoughts and prayers continue to be with those families who have lost a loved one,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“We continue to be encouraged by the low rate of hospitalization among coronavirus cases in Camden County. Ultimately, we know that with the broadening availability of testing, and the addition of newer, faster testing methods in some areas, we will continue to see new cases of COVID-19. We are in the middle of a critical period in our fight against this virus. We are asking residents to continue staying home as much as possible and to continue following state guidelines regarding social distancing. Even as other areas of the country explore the possibility of loosening restrictions, we must remain committed to our mitigation strategy or we will only erase the progress we have made in recent weeks.

The Department of Health is also announcing 150 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
