Deptford Township and the Deptford Township Police will join towns across the country in celebrating National Night Out tonight. The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Deptford Recreation Center, 52 Montague Lane in Deptford.
National Night Out is an annual event dedicated to building a stronger community relationship with residents and the police. Activities will include free games, a bounce house, face painting, an obstacle course, free food and prizes, emergency vehicles and more.

There will be a number of scheduled events as well, including a helicopter landing at 6 and 7:30 p.m. and a K-9 demonstration at 6:45 p.m. The event is free to attend and all residents are invited.
