Event will allow residents to dispose of medications anonymously
On Saturday, April 28th, The Burlington Township Police Department will be allowing individuals to dispose of medications anonymously from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
No questions or requests for identification will be made. Individuals, but not businesses, will be able to deposit medication freely and independently.
Individuals may dispose of the medication in its original container and will place the medication inside the provided drug disposal box. If the original container is submitted, the individual is encouraged to remove the prescription label from the container.
Liquid products, such as cough medicine, should remain in the original sealed container. The individual depositor should ensure that the cap is tightly sealed to prevent any type of leakage.
Syringes and other sharp instruments will not be accepted.
Please bring the medications to the lobby of the police department, which is located at 851 Old York Road.
