A suspect has been charged with three counts of assault by auto for a March 6 accident at Route 130 and NeckĀ Road.
Matthew Campbell, a 19 year-old male from Florence, has been criminally charged with three counts of assault by auto and additional motor vehicle violations including driving while under the influence for a March 6 accident in the area of Route 130 and Neck Road, according to the Burlington Township Police Department.
At around 10 p.m. on Monday, March 6, the Burlington Township Police Department responded to motor vehicle collision in the area of Route 130 North and NeckĀ Road.
When officers arrived, they discovered that the collision involved two vehicles, and multiple passengers were injured. At the time, Route 130 and Neck Road intersection was shut down, and traffic was temporarily diverted.
Officers determined that prior to the collision Matthew Campbell, a 19 year-old male from Florence, was driving on Neck Road and failed to stop at a red light. Campbell entered the intersection and struck a red GMC Acadia traveling northbound. Officers determined that Campbell was operating his vehicle while under the influence of marijuana.
At the time of the collision, Campbellās vehicle contained two additional passengers, and both of his fellow passengers were transported to Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro to be treated for neck and back pain. The operator of the red GMC Acadia that Campbell struck suffered a broken leg, and he was also transported to Lourdes Medical Center. Campbell was uninjured.
After processing, Campbell was released on a summons pending his appearance inĀ court.
