Forecasters expect 1 to 2 inches to accumulate in the area by the time the event is over.
Burlington Township and some parts of South Jersey will remain under a Winter Weather Advisory through 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon as snow continues to fall in the region.
The National Weather Service extended the advisory originally issued in Northern New Jersey to as far south as Camden County late Thursday. Forecasters expect 1 to 2 inches to accumulate in the area by the time the event is over.
Snow is expected to be moderate to heavy through around lunch time. Snowfall rates could exceed one inch per hour. Snow is expected to taper off, west to east, through the afternoon, though snow showers and localized squalls are expected later.
While paved surfaces are expected to remain wet, untreated roads and walkways could be slippery. There could also be reduced visibility during the duration of the snow.
