Marlton is the place to be this holiday season

Don’t miss any of the holiday fun this year right here in Marlton

Marlton really comes alive during the holidays. Whether you’re looking for kids’ activities, good food, shopping or pictures with Santa, you can find it all in town this holiday season.

Evesham Fire-Rescue is hosting the annual Winterfest celebration at their Main Street Firehouse on Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Santa will be arriving at 6:15 p.m. and will be available for free photos inside. According to officials, this year’s celebration will be extending out onto Cooper Avenue where there will be food vendors, crafters and children’s activities.

The same night, Marlton Square Specialty Center, 300 Route 70 South, invites the public to its annual Holiday Spectacular, running from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Visitors who bring an unwrapped toy for a child in need (ages 3 to 6) will get a complimentary photo opportunity with Santa. Show up early to catch Santa’s arrival by fire truck and be sure not to miss the pet parade, the latest addition to the annual event. The Holiday Spectacular will also feature live music, food, drinks, a stilt walker, a balloon artist, face painting and a caricature artist.

Registration for this event is free. To RSVP, visit the Marlton Square Specialty Center’s Facebook page and find the Holiday Spectacular event page under the events tab.

If your kids can’t wait to tell Santa what they want for Christmas, The Promenade at Sagemore offers plenty of opportunities to meet the man of the season. Beginning Friday, Nov. 29 and continuing every Saturday and Sunday until Dec. 23, Santa will host visitors at the shopping center, 500 Route 73 South, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. each day.

Bring your own camera and take photos free photos. According to officials, the storefront between Blue Mercury and The Loft will be transformed into a winter wonderland where children can meet Santa.

If you’re looking to burn off a few calories before the onslaught of holiday meals, check out the Jingle all the Way 5K, a “flat and fast” race that will take runners through the streets and trails of Marlton Lakes.

The 5K is scheduled for Saturday Dec. 14 from 9 to 11 a.m., starting at 222 Lakeshore Drive in Marlton. Runners must register by Dec. 12. Registration is $20. For more information, or to sign up, visit runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Marlton/MarltonJingleAlltheWay5K.
