Civil War exhibit coming to Deptford’s Museum of American History

The exhibit will debut on Aug. 3 and remain on display through Sept. 29.

The Museum of American History in Deptford will have a Civil War exhibit starting Aug. 3 and running through Sept. 29. The U.S. Civil War is among the most tragic, inspirational, fascinating and studied periods in American and world history. Check out this exhibit featuring historical artifacts, uniforms, artwork and memorabilia as honor those who fought, and those who gave their lives in unrivaled numbers to forge the country we all share today.

The museum’s permanent exhibits include artifacts from the pre-Columbian through the Colonial era, farmstead and antique hand tools, glass and ceramics, the Pine Barrens and a new fossil exhibit.

The museum is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Admission to tour the museum is $4 for adults and $3 for children.  Group rates are available.
