Broadway Performer hosts Vocal Master Class July 27

Broadway performer and recording artist Natalie Weiss is conducting a vocal master class sponsored by the Voorhees Theatre Company, 3–7 p.m. July 27 at Voorhees Middle School, 1000 Holly Oak Drive, in Voorhees for students ages 14 through 22.

Weiss will work 1 on 1 with up to 12 students, coaching them on vocal techniques. Students can also choose to observe the class.

Weiss gained a national following from her YouTube videos and her Web series ‘Breaking Down the Riffs with Natalie Weiss’ in which she coaches guests through difficult vocal riff sequences.

Theatre credits include Broadway’s ‘Everyday Rapture’, National Tours of ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Wicked’, and Regional productions of ‘CATS’ and ‘42nd Street.’

Weiss teaches master classes at institutions across the U.S., including Sheridan College, the Etobicoke School of the Arts and Shenandoah Conservatory.

The class participation fee is $55, or $10 to observe the class ($12 at the door). You must be registered to receive individual coaching. To register, visit www.voorheestheatre.org. Registration deadline is July 13.

Now in its 12th year, the Voorhees Theatre Company is a non-profit community theatre organization providing opportunities for young people to experience theatre as performers, technicians, managers and audience members.
