Mother’s Day Picnic

Time: 11am — 4pm (weather permitting)
Location: 1320 Old Indian Mills Road, Shamong NJ 08088 Entrance Fee: $5.00, excluding children under 21, includes a souvenir wine glass and wine tasting.
Valenzano Winery invites family and friends to spend a beautiful Mother’s Day at Valenzano Winery’s Vintner’s Pavilion & Courtyard. This picnic-style event encourages you to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a beautiful afternoon amid the freshly bloomed grape vines as you enjoy live music and entertainment.
While the ladies spend time with the variety of artisan vendors picking out that perfect gift, the children will be entertained with family friendly attractions. Wine will be available to purchase by the bottle. Families are welcome to pack a picnic lunch, or enjoy the menu provided by Mighty Joe’s Food Truck & Grill.
A special Mother’s Day performance featuring Sara O’Brien and her band, Maggie Jane’s Supper Club, an original folk rock band covering female favorites from Patsy Cline to the Cranberries. Imagine Natalie Merchant with acoustic guitars and upright bass performing Allison Krauss, Fleetwood Mac, Indigo Girls, Cyndi Lauper, U2 and lots and lots of 10,000 Maniacs. Children will be welcome on stage to sing-along with Sara when she breaks from band to sing traditional kids classics and original tunes she’s written with kids!
Our friends from Community Rocks! Will be providing activities for kids of all ages. A $5.00 donation to their non-profit will include the following activities for your child:
- Toddler Bouncy Ball Play Area
- Bean Bag Toss
- Shakers and Instruments to play along with the band
- Kids Music- short sets will be performed throughout the event
- Kids Coloring Table with markers, crayons and stickers
- Recycled Arts and Crafts
- Mommy and Me Bracelets
- Kids can make all the Recycled Art they want including a wine bottle vase (with flower inside), rings, bottle cap art and more
- For an additional $5, kids can make two beaded bracelets. One for “Mommy” and one for “Me”.

Food Truck Menu: (menu items not included in $5.00 entrance fee)
- Sliced Tenderloin — on a roll with horseradish sauce
- The Godfather — Prosciutto, soppressata, capicola and provolone on Italian roll
- Fillet mignon steak sandwich — on a long roll with sauteed onions
- Cranberry walnut chicken salad — tender chunks of white meat chicken with dried cranberries and walnuts on toasted sliced bread
- Grilled cheese with tomato and bacon — a really tasty grilled cheese
- Bang Bang shrimp and fries — Fried shrimp tossed in a spicy sauce
- Roast pork special -Italian style roast pork sandwich with melted sharp provolone and roasted red peppers on a toasted Kaiser roll
- Sweet potato fries
The kid’s menu will consist of chicken tenders, hot dog, cheeseburger, mozzarella sticks and French fries.
