Celebrate life at Kennedy Health’s ‘Cancer Survivors Day & 5K Run/Walk’ on June 7

KennedyHealth

For the fifth consecutive year, Kennedy Health, with hospitals Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township, and in administrative offices in Voorhees, will host a day of fun-filled festivities to celebrate Cancer Survivors Day at Washington Lake Park, 626 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, in Sewell.

This year’s event includes Kennedy’s first-ever 5K run/walk — on a USATF-Certified K Course — which kicks off the day at 9:30 a.m. (registration 8 a.m.).

The run/walk is followed by a celebration of life for cancer survivors from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring refreshments, musical entertainment, family activities, dunk tank, giveaways, and vendors

A special survivors lap and ceremony caps off the day, giving cancer survivors and friends a chance to connect with each other, celebrate milestones and recognize those who have supported them in their journey.

All activities are open to the public. There is a $30 registration fee for the 5K run/walk — which includes a race t-shirt. Cancer survivors will receive a free commemorative “survivors” t-shirt. Additional t-shirts will be available for friends and family members to purchase.

Proceeds benefit the Center for Hope & Healing at Kennedy Health. For sponsorship information, call or email Louise Baca at (856) 218–5321 or l.baca@kennedyhealth.org

Registration for the 5K run/walk is required. Please go to www.kennedycancersurvivors.org/5k by June 6 to reserve a spot.
