Quad team comes through despite little experience

The Cooper Training Club (Cooper TC) participated in the Philadelphia Youth Regatta held on the Schuylkill River on July 16. The regatta is open to juniors only. A junior is a competitor who in the current calendar year does not attain the age of 19, or who is and has been continuously enrolled in high school as a full time student seeking a diploma. A junior 16 is a competitor who will not attain the age of 17 in the current calendar year. Races were 2000 meters.

According to Coach Steve Vetter, The Girls J16 Quad took home the gold medal in their event. This was their first time competing together in the quad.

The club’s members attend public and private middle and high schools in surrounding areas including Cherry Hill, Mt. Laurel, Voorhees and Moorestown.

All participants also row with South Jersey Rowing Club during the school year.
