Phase 1 of 2 for the Pinelands Memorial Park Cemetery is almost complete.
Shamong Township is pleased to announce it is nearing the completion of Phase 1 of 2 for the Pinelands Memorial Park Cemetery. Phase I includes approximately 2,000 grave sites and 48 niche Columbarium for cremated remains.
The Shamong Township Committee began to research, plan and budget for the development of the Pinelands Memorial Park Cemetery in 2011; which had been a vision for over twenty years for Shamong Township residents.
Pinelands Memorial Park Cemetery is owned and operated by Shamong Township. The Cemetery is located on previously farmed ground located at 84 Willow Grove Road in Shamong, NJ. Pinelands Memorial Park Cemetery will serve all denominations of South Jersey and provide the following services:
· Traditional interment
· Columbarium niches for cremated remains
· Family plots
· An area to honor loved ones who served in our Nation’s military
