Annual Christmas Tree and Menorah lighting just around the corner

Community event will feature musical performances and kid’s activities

Don’t miss this opportunity to join your community and help ring in the holiday season. The tree and menorah lighting will take place Dec. 15 in Wood Park on the corner of Riverton and Pomona Road and will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The lighting itself is scheduled for 7:20 p.m.

To help everyone get into the spirit of the season the event will feature holiday musical performances by Cinnaminson High School’s Chamber Choir, Rush School’s Music Makers and the Aqua String Band.

Kids can take a ride on the Polar Express and thanks to the Cinnaminson Fire Department will have a chance to see Santa himself. Attendees can make a holiday gift with the Cinnaminson High School Art Club or take a carriage ride with a view of the festivities. There will be cookies, hot chocolate and coffee available as well to keep everyone warm.

Throughout the event donations will be collected next to the craft tent. The township is looking for coats and gift cards for families in need. Let’s remember those less fortunate during the holidays and make sure everyone has something to celebrate.
