Antiques and Art Appraisal Luncheon back in Medford

The Medford Arts Center will present its second Antiques and Art Appraisal Luncheon at Braddock’s Restaurant on Sunday, April 29, at 12:30 p.m. A three-course luncheon will be served and a cash bar will be available. Admission to the luncheon is $35 for members of the Medford Arts Center or $45 for non-members. Pre-registration is required and may be made on line at www.MedfordArtsCenter.org, or in person at the Medford Arts Center, 18 North Main St. on Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

Reservations should be received by April 27. To pay by mail, please call (609) 654–6485.

Each registrant will be entitled to carry in one object. Since there won’t be room for furniture, attendees can bring photographs showing several views of their antique chair, table or other piece of antique furniture. Jewelry will be displayed in closed glass cases to ensure security. Paintings or other works of art can be no larger than 36 inches in one direction since space is limited. All are welcome to attend, with an antique or just for fun.

Three well-qualified and experienced appraisers will value each object. Andrew Bertolino of Medford will evaluate paintings and other works of art. He is the third generation of a family involved in the fine arts and is president of Bertolino Arts, formally Andrews Gallery. For 22 years he has been a personal property appraiser, providing professional services in fine arts, antiques and residential contents. Bertolino has served as Director of Estate Division, Fine Art, for Rago Art & Auction Center in Lambertville.

Ronn Schaffer has been appraising antiques for 16 years. A member of the International Society of Appraisers, he is a longtime antiques enthusiast who has monitored the auction market for more than 50 years. Before moving to Philadelphia, Schaffer sold antiques from his home at Bishop Farmstead in Vincentown. He specializes in American, English and continental furniture, glassware, china and needlework.

Jack Kronenberger will evaluate antique jewelry. He is a credentialed as a diamond certifier by the Gemological Institute of American and recognized as an appraiser by the National Association of Jewelry Appraisal. As a gemologist, he is knowledgeable about diamonds and all colored gems and pearls. He has owned JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry at 417 Stokes Road in Medford for more than 20 years.
