Free Bereavement Support Groups beginning in March

Support groups are open to all and led by professionals.

All support groups are led by professionals and provide the opportunity to learn about grief, and to share loss-related experiences in a comfortable, private environment. Support groups are free and open to all. Donations are gratefully accepted. Pre-registration is required for all groups. To register, please call (856) 552–1300, ext. 2507. The groups to be offered are as follows:

EXPRESSIONS for CHILDREN (Ages 7–13)

6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dates: Mondays: 3/13, 4/10, 5/15, 6/5 Wednesdays: 3/29, 4/26, 5/10, 5/31, 6/14, 6/28

A special group for children and pre-adolescents that centers on dealing with grief through creative art activities. Parents/Guardians may be invited to attend certain sessions. Pre-registration required, please call (856) 552–1300, ext. 2507.

GROWING THROUGH GRIEF, DAYTIME (Adults)

UNDERSTANDING GRIEF, EVENING (Adults)

NEWLY BEREAVED GRIEF SUPPORT (For loss in the past year) (Adults)

LGBTQI GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP (Adults)

CAMP FIREFLY (Children 7–14)

For children who have lost a parent, sibling or other special person through death, Camp Firefly provides a special place to make new friends, share feelings, and find relief from grief. Camp Firefly 2017 will be held on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 (overnight) at Camp Matollionequay/Ockanickon in Medford. The camp is free to children ages 7 to 14.
